A couple of the ones I bought and listened to lately:

Alice In Chains – Black Gives Way To Blue: To tell the truth, it feels more like a Jerry Cantrell album than a proper AIC album. But it's damn good, heavy as fuck. Great stuff.

Pearl Jam – Backspacer: Pearl Jam never let's me down. 39 sweet minutes of great music. Just a great package of short rockers like Got Some and Supersonic, the acoustic Eddie Vedder type ballads; Unthought Known, and great anthems; Amongst The Waves & Force Of Nature. Thanks, boys!

Nine Black Alps – Locked Out From The Inside: NBA is my second favourite “new” band, and this is their third album. Again, heavy as fuck, and that's just the way these guys should play. I really love this album, they outdone themself.

Swanee River – Kick Off Your Cloggs EP: Only listened to this once so far, but they're another great Irish band, aren't they? Great blues sound.

Also bought Kings Of Leon's discography, finally got into them. They're in the mail right now, slowly but surely approaching my house.

And now, you.

Transatlantic – The Whirlwind.

Top notch Prog from members of Marillion, Dream Theater, Spocks Beard* and The Flower Kings.

A stunning album.

Just ordered Heaven's Basement CD off their MySpace site. Saw them supporting Papa Roach recently and loved them. Bought Trucker Diablo's 2 track EP when I saw them play last week. When I was on hol I bought the new CDs by Saving Abel, Papa Roach, Daughtry and am impressed by them all. My house is starting to look like a CD shop!!

MelJanie: You might wanna think about checking out Roadstar too, then. It's basically the same guys as in Heaven's Basement, at least the singer and guitarist. Slightly more glammed up than HB, though. But pretty good stuff, they released two albums, Grand Hotel and Glass Mountain.

My latest purchase was Black Stone Cherry – Folklore And Superstition. Saw these guys live in October, they kicked ass and played a couple of tracks that are only on the bonus edition of the album. I already had the regular edition, but decided to spring for a second disc. Haven't gotten around to listen to it yet, though.

Aphrodites Child – 666

Weird, wacky but wonderful Psychedelic prog.

Demis Roussos(70's pop star) is the bass player.

In my opinion the material the band recorded under the name of Roadstar is infinetly better than the Heaven's Basement stuff, and the Hurricane Party stuff was even better than that. I'd thouroughly recommend getting both Glass Mountain and Grand Hotel by Roadstar, but Get This by Hurricane Party should be top of the list.

Alberta Cross: Picked up on these guys via Classic Rock Magazine, first listen it didn't really do much for me, but it has gradually made more sense. I like it.

Band Of Skulls: Thanks again to Classic Rock:) Now this I like. Great blues feel, great songs, catchy lyrics, and two great singer, particularly dig Emmas voice.

Shooter Jennings – Black Ribbons
Bob Schneider – Lovely Creatures
Threes Day Grace – One X

I'm a huge Shooter Jennings fan and love his first concept CD.  My musical taste is all over the place (as you can see).  Recently came across Jaded Sun and love the music.
